The Cuneo Red Apple P.G.I. originates in an area that has always been suited to apple growing, where climate and tradition give rise to fruit of certified quality.

Produced exclusively within the area recognised by the PGI specification, it includes the Gala and Red Delicious varieties, selected to offer taste, crunchiness and consistent quality. The certification protects the origin and highlights a production that represents the excellence of Piedmontese fruit growing, an authentic expression of the local area and the Italian supply chain.

Among the alpine valleys, an apple with an intense colour and a perfect balance takes shape.

The temperature range, brightness and fruit-growing tradition of the Cuneo area give the fruit a crunchy, juicy pulp rich in aromas. The Mela Rossa Cuneo IGP includes exclusively the Red Delicious, Gala, Fuji and Braeburn varieties, which find ideal conditions in this area to best express their characteristics. Cultivation follows techniques that are attentive to the natural exposure of the fruit to light, a fundamental element for enhancing its quality, storability and organoleptic characteristics.
